EducationUSA : International student advising centers

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. The two Centers in Ghana are located in Kumasi (ACE Consult in Asokwa) and at the U.S. Embassy in Accra.

EducationUSA Centers promote U.S. higher education to students by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States.

EducationUSA also provides services to the U.S. higher education community to help institutional leaders meet their recruitment and campus internationalization goals. EducationUSA is your official source on U.S. higher education.

The 2021 Open Doors Report on international education showed 4,229 Ghanaians studied at colleges and universities in the United States, a slight increase over last year. This retains Ghana in second place in Sub-Saharan Africa. The number one spot is held by Nigeria, with 12,860 students.

The EdUSA services in Accra are free of charge and accessible virtually. We do not endorse or rank any particular college or university but represent all accredited US universities and colleges. We also do not endorse any education agency or consultancy (such as in the areas of test preparation, admissions, placement, language training, and visas).

Each year, more than 200,000 individuals’ access EducationUSA services in Ghana.
